Shadow Games Book by Klutz
Flashlights are battery-powered magic when the lights go down so, since we're big fans of all things magical, we had to create a book around one. We re-discovered (and re-simplified) all the classic hand shadows and added a few punch-out shadow puppets. We even tossed in some special die-cut projection pages for shadow show times. Attached to the book is a flashlight -- the tool to the shadow-maker's trade. Since we never do things the easy way, we custom-designed our flashlight in colorful plastic with a handy belt clip. Like all Chicken Socks titles, Shadow Games is a complete package of instruction, tools, fun and creativity -- batteries included. Written by the Editors of Klutz. Ages 4 and up By Klutz
Penny Games Book by Klutz
We decided board games for the very young needed a serious kick in the pants to make them truly fascinating, so we threw a little money at the problem. Twenty-five cents, to be exact. It turned out to be a good move. It may seem like common cents but, with kindergarteners, there?s a huge difference between dull plastic tokens and bright shiny pennies. The activities and board games ? from Penny Pile Up to Finish-the-Caterpillar ? are all played right there on the page. And, on the outside chance a game piece is lost, just check beneath the couch cushions for more. Written by Michael Sherman. Ages 4 and up By Klutz

Amazing Lacing Book by Klutz
Kids' lacing activities have been around for generations, but we couldn't help noticing that no one has applied any real imagination to the topic in at least a century or two. Until now. We worked with early education specialists and genuine young kids to brainstorm ideas for each page. We commissioned our best illustrators to do glowing, full-color work. And, finally, we hunted around to find the coolest lacing material on the planet (no boring shoelaces need apply). The result? A long-overdue update on a classic activity. A tried-and-true play pattern made better. An imaginative and beautiful lacing book. Amazing. Comes with punched, die-cut pages for easy lacing and 10 easy-to-use laces in a variety of materials and colors. Written by the Editors of Klutz. Ages 4 and up By Klutz
Magic Painting Book by Klutz
What?s magical about Magic Painting? Imagine you?re randomly brushing paint on a blank page when suddenly a picture begins appearing in white against the watercolor background. Since the preprinted invisible lines resist the paint, hidden designs are revealed with every stroke of the brush. Want more magic? Our paints are real watercolors, yet non-permanent and kid-friendly. The easy-to-handle foam brush is designed to soak up just the right amount of water and paint. And there?s a handy paint palette built right into the cover of the book. Altogether, it?s goof-proof painting that makes kids proud. And that?s the real magic. Written by the Editors of Klutz.
