So many toys today starve our children of their imagination. Everything is done for them. They don't have to think most of the time. For those of us that are of "a certain age" we remember having to make our own entertainment and not sit for hours on end staring at a TV or video game. And we are incredibly clever and imaginative! Aren't we? Yes, of course we are.
So what do we do? I hear you ask (I have very good hearing). Well, for starters, let's get them off the couch! On second thoughts, we shouldn't be too hasty, lets start with getting onto the floor. A carpet preferably as it's easier on the knees. Ours, not theirs. Now, what's better than a train set. Our favourite wooden trains are made by Brio. Here are some examples:
